In 1909 Beatrix released a story that revisited events and reunited characters from her earlier books, in 'The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies' the cotton-tailed heroes once again run into a familiar enemy - Mr. McGregor.
The illustrations in 'The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies' were inspired by the gardens of the Burtons, Beatrix's aunt and uncle, who lived in Gwaenynog, Denbigh. The design for Flopsy Bunny places the little rabbit centre stage, with Flopsy characteristically dressed in her little jacket.
