THE 7Oth ANNIVERSARY OF DUNKIRK "OPERATION DYNAMO" 26 MAY - 4 JUNE 1940. LARGE MEDALLIC COVER IN A5 SIZE.
At least 900 ships took part in the evacuation of Dunkirk, possibly as many as 1,200. The majority of men who made it back across the Channel did so in a big ship, usually a Royal Navy destroyer. However, it was the assorted collection of little ships - the yachts, sloops, trawlers, tugs, RNLI lifeboats, dockyard lighters and sailing barges - that captured the public's imagination.
